Basting Spoon - Old English Pattern - Glasgow circa 1780 by Adam Graham - 318mm long; 98g - Ref. No.: TQ/2336
This early piece of Glasgow made silver pre-dates the opening of the assay office by some 40 years and is therefore classed as Scottish provincial. It bears four marks: "AG" twice and the "tree with fish and bauble" town mark twice. This Old English pattern stuffing, gravy or basting spoon is in excellent condition and bears an engraved initial to the front terminal.
