Engraved Rattle, London 1848

This is a charming early Victorian silver coral & bells rattle. Unlike the majority of contemporary embossed rattles, the main body of this rattle is beautifully engraved with floral scrolls. There is a single tier of 4 bells with a coral teether at one end and a whistle at the other. There is a retainer loop for hanging the rattle from a ribbon. This rattle is in lovely original condition with clear hallmarks for a specialist silver small-workers partnership.
