Soup Ladle - Fiddle, Thread & Shell Pattern - London 1819 by Paul Storr - 33.5cm long; 333g - YD/6050e

This large high quality Regency period silver soup ladle was made by England's greatest 19th century silversmith, Paul Storr.

The ladle measures 13" in length and weighs a hefty 11 tr.oz. It is superbly decorated in the popular fiddle, thread & shell pattern and features an engraved lion crest within a garter circlet - suggesting the original owner was a knight of the realm. The motto within the circlet reads: "NIL SINE CORDE" which translates to "Nothing without Heart".

The ladle is of the high quality one would expect from Paul Storr and remains in fine condition throughout with super-clear hallmarks.
