Gravy Boat - London 1834 by Paul Storr - 18.5cm long x 14cm high; 400ml volume; 505g - CB/5385

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This outstanding quality large sauce or gravy boat was made by the great Paul Storr. It stands on three cast volute and scroll feet with a scroll and leaf mount. The large loop handle has acanthus detailing and terminates in a beautifully detailed shell. The large size of this piece would suggest a use with either gravy or sauce. It has a very hefty weight and with its fabulous craftsmanship it just exudes top quality.

Both sides of the sauceboat have an applied crest - this in itself is a step up from the usual engraving one would expect. Excellent condition throughout with a clear set of hallmarks. A truly fabulous piece of late Georgian silver.
