Tea Strainer - Swivel Strainer; Wooden Handle - Birmingham 1915 by E.S.Barnsley - 17.2cm long; 5.4cm high; 60g gross weight - FS/9501
This rare silver tea strainer has a clever way of swivelling to one side allowing the tea to be strained and then returning back to its natural position over the drip cup, to prevent spillage on the table. Additionally, the drip cup has a spout so that the tea can be poured back in to the pot and the nicely shaped, square-profile wooden handle prevents the user from scalding. Both pieces are appropriately hallmarked with "PATENT No. 16245" stamped under the drip cup.
