Table Spoons (pair) - Trefid - London 1700 by John Cory - 20.2cm long; 103g combined weight - LR/6675

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a fabulous pair of William III period silver trefid spoons in fine condition and with great hallmarks.

These are good quality table spoons with beaded rattails and dot-prick engraved ownership initials to the terminals which have the bonus of being dated to 1700. The spoons are made from the purer Britannia Standard silver and have good sets of appropriate hallmarks with the "Co" crowned maker's mark. John Cory was a specialist spoonmaker who was freed by patrimony after working with his Warminster born father Thomas Cory.

The condition is excellent with good bowls tips, a nice patina and just the usual wear to the beaded rattails. Pairs of trefid table spoons in this condition are rather scarce making these a very desirable twosome!
