Pair of Silver Basting Spoons, Limerick 1785 Patrick Connell

These Irish provincial sterling silver basting spoons are extremely rare, superb quality and in wonderful condition! They just feel fabulous in the hand. What more could you ask for? 

These long basting spoons are in the typically Irish, Celtic Point pattern, with the scarce addition of a bright-cut feather edge and monogram to the terminal - the engraving remains super-crisp throughout. The spoons have been made from a hefty gauge of silver and consequently have a very heavy weight, furthermore the gauge can be seen in the very thick bowl tips. The marks to the reverse of the shank are deeply struck and are near pristine examples of Patrick Connell's maker's mark to either side of "STERLING". 

Limerick silver is very rare, but to find such an immaculate pair of stunning quality basting spoons is really quite a coup! We obviously recommend these most heartily!
