Sauce Tureens (pair) - Oval with Pedestal Foot & Lift-off Cover - London 1804 by Paul Storr - 20.5cm long; 11.7cm wide; 15cm high; 1400g combined weight - OA/4759

This elegant pair of Georgian silver sauce tureens ooze the quality one would expect from Paul Storr.

They are made from a thick gauge of silver and with a weight of 22.5 troy ounces each have a commensurately heavy feel in the hand. They take a Neo-classical urn shape and have a bold gadroon mount to the top rim and foot. A sign of extra attention to detail can be seen where the two ring handles on both ends are projected away from the body to make it easier for the carrier and to prevent "clanking" against the body. The lift-off covers fit beautifully and are both original to the bodies with matching hallmarks.

These sauce tureens are in superb condition with no dings nor dents and bear clear sets of London hallmarks for 1804 and PS maker's marks.
