Basting Spoons (pair) - Celtic Feather-edge Pattern - Limerick circa 1785 by Patrick Connell - 32.4cm long; 252g - HA/8384</p>

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

These Irish provincial silver basting spoons are extremely rare, superb quality and in wonderful condition! They just feel fabulous in the hand. What more could you ask for? Ok, they are a bit pricey too, but where are you going to find another pair as good as this?

These long basting spoons are in the typically Irish, Celtic Point pattern, with the scarce addition of a bright-cut feather edge and monogram to the terminal - the engraving remains super-crisp throughout. The spoons have been made from a hefty gauge of silver and consequently have a very heavy weight, furthermore the gauge can be seen in the very thick bowl tips. The marks to the reverse of the shank are deeply struck and are near pristine examples of Patrick Connell's maker's mark to either side of "STERLING".

Limerick silver is very rare, but to find such an immaculate pair of stunning quality basting spoons is really quite a coup! We obviously recommend these most heartily!
