Sorry, this item is out of stock.

These are a stunning pair of Irish provincial 9" long silver table or serving spoons from the workshop of John Toleken.

Toleken was a Cork-based silversmith from the latter part of the 18th and early 19th centuries and as found on these spoons, his silver is stamped with "TOLEKEN" and "STERLING". These spoons are simply sumptuous with beautiful bright-cut engraved decoration and a fine pair of crests featuring a dragon's head erased pierced through the throat by a spear. The condition is wonderful with very crisp engraving and unworn condition - just look at the thick bowl tips!

As good a pair of Cork-made silver table spoons as you are likely to find!
