Candlesticks (pair) - Corinthian Column - London 1759 by John Carter II - 32cm high - ND/4431

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

These are a fabulous pair of 12" high Georgian silver candlesticks made by the specialist candlestick maker John Carter.

They have square, bead edged, stepped bases with long, elegant fluted columns, topped by acanthus decorated capitals and fitted with removable sconce nozzles to ease the cleaning of spent wax. They are loaded to the interiors to give them extra weight and stability and remain in excellent condition with neither damage nor repair. The hallmarks to both remain clear and the sconce nozzles are appropriately part marked. A very fine pair indeed!
