Spoons (pair) - Fleur-de-Lys pattern - London 1830 by William Theobalds - 19.2cm long; 142g combined weight - PS/6727

This is a very rare pair of Georgian silver table spoons with a cast and applied fleur-de-lys motif to the handle finial.

This style of spoon is a copy of early 18th century French spoons with a diamond-shaped stem and oval bowl and they very rarely appear with English marks - we once had a 1729 spoon by Charles Jackson - Fleur-de-Lys Spoon, 1729. This pair were made by the top maker, William Theobalds.

The spoons are in excellent, original condition and bear clear London hallmarks to the underside of the bowls.
