This good sized Georgian silver nutmeg grater is beautifully engraved to the top with flowers on a trellis backdrop around a vacant cartouche. The underside has a pretty floral motif. The hinged interior reveals a rare hinged steel rasp from the underside of which the grated spice can be retrieved. The base and inside cover bear a full set of hallmarks in typical Birmingham box style. This excellent nutmeg grater is in fine original condition.
