Sugar Shovel - Military Thread pattern - London 1864 by George Adams - 14.3cm long; 35g - NY/2814a

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Military Thread is quite a scarce silver flatware pattern and this sugar shovel is a fine example.

The spoon has a square bowl for lifting sugar and although similar to the standard Fiddle & Thread pattern, the shoulders on the handle adjacent to the bowl are scrolled rather than square in typical "military" style. There is an original engraved script "G" to the terminal. This Victorian silver sugar shovel was made by George Adams of Chawner & Company and is in excellent condition.
