Salt Pots (pair) - Circular; Floral Embossed - London 1827 by Joseph Angell - 5.3cm x 9.4cm; 309g combined weight - GU/6715
This is a good, large pair of George IV period silver salt pots made by the top silversmith Joseph Angell.
Circular in form, these salts are superbly embossed with flowers, have shell and scroll mounts to the top rims and stand on floral embossed pedestal bases. The engraved crest to the cartouches are symptomatic of the high calibre and the original lemon-gilt interiors add to the feeling of quality.
These salt cellars remain in excellent condition.
