This is a very large, round silver fruit basket made by one of the most famous English silversmithing workshops and made during the year that Queen Victoria came to the throne. The basket is almost 14" in diameter and has a strong, hinged swing handle. The bowl is beautifully embossed with flowers amidst a swirl fluted design and the foliage continues along the length of the handle. The condition of this fine quality bowl is excellent with a clear set of Bateman hallmarks.
