Kate Harris is recognised as one of the UK's most important designers during the Art Nouveau period with her silver pieces made by William Hutton & Sons.

This antique spoon is quite exquisite with a mix of blue, green and turquoise enamelling to the terminal and flowing Art Nouveau lines. The hand-made creation of the spoon is evidenced by the spot-hammer marks to the circular bowl. Most Kate Harris designed spoons are of teaspoon size, whereas this is a larger dessert spoon sized piece (possibly given as a child's spoon) with a lovely feeling of quality in the hand.

This Edwardian spoon is in excellent condition throughout with undamaged enamel and clear London hallmarks.
