John Meek is a rarely encountered maker and if this Georgian silver caddy spoon is anything to go by then he should have produced more!
The spoon is in the standard fiddle pattern, but with the addition of a beautifully engraved bowl. Unusually the front terminal of the handle is engraved with "RSS" initials, a crest and the "1830" date.
This is a lovely caddy spoon with the bonus of clear hallmarks and excellent condition.
