This magnificent Irish silver teapot is in first class, crisp condition. It really is a first rate example that with its super-heavy weight just exudes the very highest quality. The modelling of the spout is quite phenomenal and the vine tendril handle and flower bud finial add Naturalistic elements that were popular at this period. The florid engraving to the octagonal body is also quite superb and both cartouches are engraved with a crest featuring a lion rampant over script initials.
