A fabulous spoon with highly sought after Limerick marks. This 10" long serving spoon is in the typical style for the late 18th century with its Celtic Point terminal. It is engraved in script to the front terminal, although this is somewhat feint. The bowl is in good order with some minor wear to the leading edge (showing as a loss of thickness to the rim rather than a loss of shape). The marks are "MFG" "STERLING" (incuse), "MFG". A very rare spoon and a great find.
