This is a good, large example of a mid-18th century basting or stuffing spoon made by the top Irish flatware maker of the period - Christopher Skinner. The terminal has a hook-end in the typical Irish fashion for the period and there is a large engraved crest to the front. The spoon has a generous sized bowl and is in fine condition with a clear set of Dublin hallmarks.
