A first class example of a hefty Georgian silver meat skewer with the added bonus of bearing the marks of one of the most sought after of all English silversmiths - Hester Bateman. This skewer is in great condition with crisp, oval, bright cut engraved cartouches to both sides. One cartouche is engraved with the name "Fry" to the centre whilst the other remains blank. The hallmarks are in good condition too with a fine example of the famous "HB" maker's mark.
