Marrow Scoop - Feather-edge pattern - London 1774 by Hester Bateman - 240mm long; 46g - Ref. No.: LJ/1233
This is an extremely rare example of a marrow scoop with two scoops in typical sizes - but with one facing up and the other down. A further bonus is that the maker of this scoop was the famous Hester Bateman and there is a clear example of her maker's mark. The larger scoop is engraved to the reverse with original engraved betrothal initials and the central shaft is decorated with a feather edge border. A rare scoop in fine condition..
