Basting Spoon - Old English Feather-edge pattern - London 1781 by Hester Bateman - 31.5cm long; 112g - SA/9042
This is a truly spectacular Georgian silver basting or stuffing spoon with the bonus of clear Hester Bateman hallmarks. The spoon is really very beautiful with its crisp bright-cut feather edging to the handle and a generous bowl with thick tip. Adding to the attraction of this large spoon is the finely engraved crest of a rampant griffin to the front terminal and the superb condition throughout.
