Bowl - Heavy - London 1934 by Omar Ramsden - 8cm high x 12.1cm diameter; 310g - AJ/6934
This is a super quality silver bowl by the premier English silversmith of the 20th century, Omar Ramsden.
The weight of the bowl feels terrific in the hand, giving it a feeling of the very highest calibre. Hand-made in the typical tradition of the arts & crafts movement with original hand-raising hammer marks still evident, this useful bowl has a generous capacity and would be ideal for all manner of purposes including the offering of sweets and nibbles.
The underside is engraved with the familiar "Omar Ramsden Me Fecit" and the all-important London hallmarks remain clear as they are stamped inside the foot. An excellent silver bowl in fabulous condition.
