Strainer Spoon - King's Pattern - Dublin 1827 by William Cummins - 31.5cm long; 247g - RF/2764

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a superb quality Irish silver straining spoon with a super-heavy weight.

Made in the King's pattern, this Dublin-made serving spoon has a strainer running down the centre of the bowl with the unusual and beneficial option of removing the section - either for cleaning or for more general serving purposes. The removal and replacement is simple with a short bar at the handle end and a hole at the bowl tip.

The quality and condition of this 12" long spoon is top drawer with very crisp decoration and an engraved crest to the front terminal depicting a falcon with wings aloft atop a coronet. The clear Irish hallmarks to the reverse include the "WC" maker mark for William Cummins and an incuse "S&G" mark for the Dublin retailers Smith & Gamble. A fabulous spoon.
