Soup Ladle - Hanoverian pattern - London 1754 by Ebenezer Coker - 35cm long; 226g - HS/1465

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

A superb example of a rarely found Hanoverian pattern soup ladle made by the most important flatware specialist of the mid-18th century- Ebenezer Coker. Soup lades are scarce before 1770 and with its superb crest to the reverse of the terminal, this is a fine example. It is in excellent condition throughout with a great set of hallmarks.

The engraved crest depicts a winged lion sejant with a wheatsheaf. The winged lion is the symbol of St Mark The Evangelist.
