Vase - Hand-made, Resin Panels - Birmingham 1953 by AM - 24.3cm high; 712g - PD/3348</p>

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is most unusual and very handsome silver vase that was hand-made during the early fifties. At 10" high it has a good presence and has been made from a good gauge of silver giving it a very hefty feel in the hand (no non-silver weighting to the base). Evidence of the hand working can be seen to the interior where the original hammer marks from the raising process can be seen. The amber coloured resin panels around the base are an unusual and attractive feature and they depict cereals and grasses. The maker's mark is "AM" which remains unidentified to us, but this vase is one of several pieces we have acquired made by the same highly accomplished hand. The condition is excellent and the hallmarks include the additional Elizabeth II coronation commemorative mark. A very fine piece.
