'Hand' Caddy Spoon, 1805

Caddy Spoon - 'Hand' - London 1805 by Josiah Snatt - 6.9cm long; 10.5g - TF/4996
This is a fabulous example of one of the trinity of caddy spoon "must haves". Along with the Eagle's Wing and Jockey Cap, the Hand remains one of the most desirable of all caddy spoon forms and being made by Josiah Snatt (the main maker of this type) adds prestige to the spoon. The spoon has a very attractively engraved cuff and the finger nails have been engraved to the reverse side too. A great example, with clear hallmarks and fine condition.
