72 piece Jesmond Pattern Canteen of Silver Cutlery,

Sheffield 1984 by Strickett & Loder

The Service

We are pleased to be offering a near mint boxed silver cutlery set in the Jesmond Pattern.  This service provides for six pieces per 12 place settings and appears to have had little use.

All the pieces in this canteen were made in Sheffield for the London retailers, Strickett and Loder and bear appropriate Sterling silver hallmarks for Sheffield 1984 (although some pieces have earlier date letters too).

Jesmond pattern is a modern revival of Louis XVI designs with delicate scrolls around the shaped handle and terminating with a fan motif. The service is in near mint condition and contained within a wooden box.

Presentation

This canteen is presented within a wooden box with the knives contained within slots in the hinged cover and the other pieces spread out amongst the base. The knives are held tightly in position to avoid dropping and so require a lift up and pull out action to remove.

As with all the canteens available from our web-site, we are happy to send a sample place setting for approval, on receipt of a fully refundable surety payment, prior to purchasing this canteen.
