The Service
We are pleased to be offering an excellent silver 6 place settings canteen of cutlery in the Art Deco Grecian Pattern. The service provides for eight pieces per 6 place settings with the addition of serving spoons and a carving set. There is also an option for 6 pairs of fish eaters that are contained outside the box.
All the spoons and forks were made in Sheffield by Gee & Holmes and benefit from having no personalised engravings to them. The knives have silver handles and are engraved “Harrods Silversmiths” to the stainless steel blades. The service is contained within its original wooden box that bears the nameplate of Harrods who continue to be the leading luxury department store in the UK.
Grecian Pattern has a lovely elegant shape with Art Deco streamlining.
All the pieces in this service are original to the set, making it a good, straight service that is ready to be used.

Optional Extras
We are able to offer some fish eaters that came with the original service, but are contained separately in their original Harrods cardboard box. They appear to have never been used as they remain in the original sealed wrapping (although they currently have some spots of tarnish which we can polish for you). The details are:
6 Fish Knives; 18.8cm long & 6 Fish Forks; 21.2cm long.
Total combined weight is 680 grams (21.9 troy ounces). These are priced at £480 (just £40 per piece).
Condition
The silver is in excellent condition. If shaken, there is a rattle inside one table knife handle!
Presentation
This canteen is supplied within its original wooden Harrods box with each piece having its own slot. The box is in generally good order, however there are some scratches to the top surface (see photo). The original key is present.
As with all the canteens available from our web-site, we are happy to send a sample place setting for approval, on receipt of a fully refundable surety payment, prior to purchasing this canteen.
