Caddy Spoon - Gilt - Birmingham 1822 by Samuel Pemberton - 8cm long; 9.3g - CO/6871</p>
This is a wonderful Georgian silver-gilt caddy spoon in a form we don't recall seeing previously. The round bowl has a fluted design with squared-off scalloped edge and embossed swirling flower design. The fiddle-shaped handle is decorated with a raised floral pattern and shell terminal. Made during the reign of George IV, this Samuel Pemberton spoon is clearly marked in the bowl and includes an incuse "SP" maker's mark. The condition is excellent with the gilding intact throughout.
