Georgian Silver Apple Corer, 1829 Willmore
£330.00
Apple Corer - 2-piece - Birmingham 1829 by Joseph Willmore - 7.3cm long (12.8cm long extended); 24g - ES/5805
Apple corers were a pre-requisite for the wealthy of Regency Britain, to be used to remove the core from the health giving apple.
This example of a Georgian silver apple corer is ideal for carrying in the pocket as it has a silver handle and corer that can be detached and reversed using the threaded central section and thus protecting the corer from damage. Both component parts carry Birmingham silver hallmarks for Joseph Willmore.
The condition is excellent with typical minor shallow dings to the hollow faceted handle.
