Taperstick - Gilt; Cast; Sexfoil - London 1763 by William Café - 14cm high; 171g - CY/3080

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a lovely cast taper stick made by the specialist master candlestick maker, William Cafe. The piece retains its original lemon gilding and has a typical knopped stem candlestick form on sexfoil base for the early George III period. It has its original removable sconce nozzle and bears an engraved cipher with coronet surmount at the base of the column. There are a clear set of hallmarks under the base. A fine piece in fine condition.
