Georgian "Orange" Silver Wine Label, 1833
£198.00
Wine Label - Orange; Cut-cornered Rectangle - London 1833 - 4cm x 2.5cm; 9g - HT/4009
This is rare Georgian period silver wine label with the title "ORANGE" to the front.
The label takes the typical cut-cornered rectangular form with reeded border that was popular at the beginning of the 19th century and hangs from a chain. It remains in fine condition, although no maker's mark appears to have been stamped.
Orange is a commune located just north of Avignon within the Côtes du Rhône wine region of southern France.
