Snuff Box - Twin Compartment - London 1802 by Richard Lockwood & John Douglas - 9cm x 3.2cm; 53g - HG/5159
This is a very stylish silver snuff box with a superb, central flush double hinge revealing two separate compartments. One compartment cover is engraved with a smart engraved crest of a martlet over "AS" script initials and there is a projecting stub to help grip the box. There is a full, clear set of hallmarks to the interior.
This box is ideal for modern use as a pill box: the two compartments allowing different types of tablet to be contained in the same box.
