Wine Label - Currant; Escutcheon with Feather Edge - London circa 1760 by William Moody - 5.1cm x 3cm - TF/4896

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a scarce wine label for currant by the rarely encountered silversmith William Moody. Dating from the 1760's, this attractive label shows a transitional design with the escutcheon shape of the mid-18th century and the feather-edge decoration of the later period. It is clearly marked twice to the reverse with the "WM maker's mark and is in fine condition.
