Engraved Leaf Caddy Spoon, 1800

Josiah Snatt was the leading London maker of silver caddy spoons during the first decade of the 19th century and this spoon with leaf-shaped bowl is a fine example of his creations. The bowl is attractively engraved to simulate veins and has a looped tendril handle. The spoon is in excellent condition with neither damage nor repair.
