Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a rare and fine quality Georgian pitcher style jug with a beautiful baluster form. The jug would originally have been intended for ale, but could equally well serve water, milk and other cold liquids. It has a domed, hinged cover with chair-back style thumb-piece and a large scroll handle. It is fully marked under the foot and inside the lid. The jug has a good hefty weight and is in fine original condition throughout - n.b. there is a dent to the handle adjacent to the hinge (see close-up photo).
