This is an excellent early George II silver salver or waiter tray in fine condition.

Made in 1731 by John Tuite, this 6" antique salver is engraved to the centre with an original coat-of-arms featuring four lion rampants. It has a moulded Bath border and stands on three hoof feet. The centre of the underside bears a small, discreet HT initials for the original owner and clear London hallmarks that include the distinctive script "IT" maker's mark with pitcher or ewer between for the specialist salver-maker.
