Flowerhead Silver Caddy Spoon, 1809 by IT

This stunning Georgian silver caddy spoon features a beautifully modelled flowerhead bowl.

The spoon was made in Birmingham by one of the most prominent of the "toy makers", Joseph Taylor. The bowl is simply fabulous with four attractively shaped petals around the central flower. The plain handle splits in two, or bifurcates as it joins the handle. The reverse side is clearly stamped with a full set of hallmarks including the "IT" maker's mark for Joseph Taylor and the whole spoon is in amazing condition with nothing negative to report.
