Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Fiddle pattern silver marrow scoops are relatively rare as the main period of manufacture for the double-ended scoops was the 18th century and fiddle pattern didn't appear in large numbers until the 19th century.

This is a fine quality early Victorian scoop with a good, hefty weight and nice feel in the handle. It has clear hallmarks for the London spoon maker Charles Boyton and is in fine condition.

Marrow scoops were used to tease the tasty morsels from marrow fat bones.
