Dantzic Silver Wine Label, 1822
Sold
Wine Label - Dantzic, Rounded Rectangle - London 1822 by Charles Rawlings - 4.2cm wide; 8.7g - LM/1912
This George IV period silver wine label is incised with the very rare name of the German DANTZIC wine to the front.
Taking the standard rounded, rectangular form of the early 19th century, this Georgian silver bottle ticket was made by the top maker Charles Rawlings. Some of the blackened infill is missing, but it is generally in fine condition.
