Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Chester-made silver from the early 18th century is very scarce and this silver table spoon was made by Benjamin Pemberton from the city during the reign of George I.

This Hanoverian Rattail spoon bears original engraved initials to the reverse terminal and although partly worn, the hallmarks are those for Chester 1726 with the "BP" initials of the maker. For such a rare spoon, the price is very competitive owing to the lack of clarity with the hallmarks. Typically for a provincial spoon, it is light in weight, but the general condition is good.

This is one of two very similar spoons that we currently have in stock.
