Charles II Silver 10" Alms Plate, 1678

This is a stunning and rare example of a Charles II period silver alms plate measuring 10" in diameter.

Given its great age of almost 350 years, this plate is in superb condition with a lovely antique patina and colour and neither damage nor repair. There is an original coat of arms within plume mantling engraved to the border, whilst the London hallmarks are crisply struck to the opposing side and include the "AH" maker's mark for Abraham Harrison. 

This is a rare opportunity to buy a large piece of 17th century silver in wonderful condition.
