Cased Victorian Sugar & Caddy Spoon Set

This very attractive afternoon silver tea spoon set features a caddy spoon and matching sugar spoon and was made by the top Newcastle silversmiths, Reid & Sons. Unusually, both pieces are decorated in the King's pattern, but the design is engraved rather than raised in relief. This gives an especially pleasing effect with the added bonus that the engraving remains crisp having been preserved by the original fitted case. A very fine Victorian combination!
