What a lovely set of Victorian, Aesthetic-style silver tea equippage! 

Comprising a tea caddy spoon, sugar spoon and pair of tongs, this three piece set was made in Birmingham by Hilliard & Thomason and is presented in its original crocodile leather covered case with pleated silk-lined interior. Each piece has a beautiful openwork handle with cut-out and engraved sections to simulate ferns in the Aesthetic manner. There is a "M" initial to the bow of the tongs will belong to the original owner. The bowls of both spoons are gilt (some wear to the undersides) and all pieces are in fine condition.
