Bowls (pair) - Monteith with Demi Fluting - London 1896 by Barnards. - 22.2cm diameter; 17cm high; 1930g - JJ/8301

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Pairs of large silver bowls rarely appear on the market, and this good-sized pairing make a fantastic impression.

With their demi-fluting and Monteith style top rim these handsome bowls are attractively decorated and have a good hefty weight. At 9" in diameter they have a variety of uses including as punch bowls or to decorate a dining table or sideboard as rose bowls. They were made by Barnards, who were the premier London silversmiths of the 19th century and are typical of the high quality one would expect. They remain in superb polished condition and benefit from having no personalised engravings, nor have any been removed.

A fabulous pair of bowls!
