Wine Label - Amontillado; Oval Gadroon - London 1871 by William Summers - 5.4cm x 3.2cm; 17g - SP/3562b</p>
This top quality silver wine label bears the scarce name of Amontillado. Dating from the Victorian period and made by William Summers, the major bottle ticket maker of the period, this label has the bonus of a detachable chain (one end has a hook) to allow it to be easily hung around a decanter. The label has a good weight and remains in fine condition throughout.
Amontillado is a medium dry sherry, darker than fino but lighter than oloroso.
