The Service
We are offering for sale an excellent quality silver 8 place settings canteen in the highly sought after Kings Husk Pattern. The service provides for 10 pieces per 8 place settings with an array of serving items including a large soup ladle.
Modern canteens of cutlery in this very popular flatware pattern are few and far between and this one is especially well presented and in pristine condition. Each piece has a wonderful design with very crisp double-struck decoration. The knives have silver handles and top quality Sheffield made stainless steel blades. The service just oozes high quality.
King's Husk Pattern
King’s Husk pattern is a variation of the much admired King’s Pattern with a bold husk shell motif to the front terminal of the handle and reverse side of the bowl. It was first introduced during the Regency period (circa 1810) and is considered to be one of the best designs for silver flatware. It is a premium pattern with each piece having double struck decoration (i.e. on both sides) and so a good gauge of silver is required for its manufacture – therefore every piece has a good heavy feel in the hand.

Presentation
This canteen is offered in a superior quality wooden box with brass corner strengtheners and carrying handles. The box is lined with green baize and each piece has its own slot.
